Gallery 616 presents German photographer Frauke Bergemann's new exhibition, Making The Connection! This new exhibition featuring photographs from both Germany and Omaha will run at Gallery 616 from September 9th through October 9th.
There will be an opening reception on September 9th from 6-9pm. All are welcome to attend.
Bergemann's work transcends space; the foreground moves to a vanishing point only to lure itself back to the front via the middle ground. She finds stages with numerous exits for the actors to enter or to vanish. In her work, we find that some of her sets are void of the actor and other venues are complete with a full cast of characters. The works are strong statements about what we have created, if for a correct or incorrect purpose and if we have learned from them. What did we leave behind; then and now. Is beauty a void or a full vessel? Bergemann finds the missing and displays it for the viewer.
It is an honor to have Frauke show in Omaha, to have her images for our viewing. Images we in Omaha truly must see. Frauke Bergemann will be here from Germany for the opening.
