    Review of Bush Stir Cove

Wow.  My thesaurus isn’t thorough enough to find the best words to describe my night at Stir Cove with Bush on Saturday night.  So – wow.  Here was a night I wasn’t sure of and a band that I had heard of, but never spent much time listening to.  My big mistake.  Huge.  Where was I in the 90’s that I missed this presence?  I have so much catching up to do.

It was a high energy, loud and proud concert Saturday night and I frankly loved every minute.  Doesn’t hurt that Gavin Rossdale and the boys are easy on the eyes, but oh, that sound, that precision, that depth.  It was more than fun, it was more than good.  It was …. Wow.

I couldn’t name 3 Bush song titles, I couldn’t claim to know any lyrics, but what I do know is that 2,499 of my peeps and I rocked hard right along with the boys for nearly two hours.  There is so much passion in their performance that it just sucks you in from the first note and keeps you suspended in musical paradise.

The crowd structure was heavily male, but my ladies and I were not to be outdone.  We were banging our heads, pumping our fists and jumping up and down right along with the men.  We ran to the center when Rossdale made his way down the aisle, we circled the stage as he approached the edge and we whistled and screamed as hard as the dudes next to us.

There was a pretty appealing light show during the night, with strobes to boot.  It served to just heighten the frenzy and excitement in the air.  When they broke into ‘Come Together’ during their encore, I was just blown away.

Bush.  Gotta get me some of that music.  Fast.  Cuz really, it was, well wow.

The Stir Cove marketing staff has outdone themselves this year.  The acts they have been bringing  to their amphitheater are all world class.  They cross all genres, they cross all ethnic, racial, economic and gender borders.  There is a show available for everyone.  Please, I implore you – check out www.stircove.com and find one just for you.  There are many opportunities left and it will be worth every penny you spend.  Stir Cove, just like Bush is well….wow.
