Lots of people play instruments; some can sing while others are gifted writers. But, it takes a special kind of person to be a musician. This is someone who not only has talent, this is someone who can also dig deep into their soul and project a passion for their gift.
This is the story of 5 such individuals I know. Aaron, Chris, Danny, James and Travis are the musicians in The Nightmare Paradox (TNP), and the appreciation for their gifts and their hunger to share their talents with others runs deep and thick within the soul of each of them.
Over the course of the next few months, I am going to take you on a journey with my newfound buddies. They are currently hanging out in the Make Believe Music Studio laying down seven tracks that will lead to their first CD release. The guys are heading northeast in January to edit their tunes and all of this will culminate in a CD release party at Sokol in March. It’s pretty exciting stuff!
TNP is not your average Saturday night show band. This entourage is crafted of adults - with adult aspirations and adult attitudes. These are men with jobs, obligations and families. My mission is to not only lead you into a meet and greet with the guys, but take you through their journey to immortalize their talents and their passion on a silver piece of metal. I hope I can do them justice, because they certainly deserve it.
TNP has been together for about 18 months and this is an exhilarating expedition for each of them. You may have seen them at The Hideout, or you may have visited their You Tube video of “Marionette” from Shamrocks in September – regardless, I want you to know and appreciate them like I do.
So – hang tight – there is MUCH more to come. I’m heading to the studio with the gents in a week or so, and I’ll give you the proverbial bird’s eye recall of my time there. I’ll also give you some insider info on the troubadours and their trek to New York. By March, I want you all to meet me at Sokol and we’ll celebrate together with The Nightmare Paradox.
